Quick Start Guide for New Users

Beginning your journey with Oddapy requires minimal setup while establishing maximum security for your data. This section guides you through account creation, installation as a Progressive Web App, and initial configuration. The questions addressed here cover essential setup procedures, security requirements, and account management fundamentals. Following these guidelines ensures your Oddapy account is properly configured for secure, cross-device access to your personal organization platform.

How do I get started with Oddapy?

Getting started is simple: Visit oddapy.com, click "Get the App", confirm installation to Oddapy and your device, then sign up with your email, name, and password. You must verify yor email before entering name and password for signup. Once signed up, you'll have instant access across all your devices through any web browser.

What information do I need to sign up?

Oddapy requires only three pieces of information: email address (for login and account recovery), full name (for personalization and collaboration), and a secure password that meets our security requirements. We don't request unnecessary personal details to respect your privacy.

What are the password requirements?

Your password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 number, and 1 special character (such as ! @ # $ % ^ & *). These requirements ensure your encryption key is strong enough to protect your data.

Do I need to set up all six modules at once?

No. You can start with what you need and explore other modules at your own pace. Many users begin with one or two modules (like Goals or Notes) and gradually adopt others as they become familiar with Oddapy's workflow. The integrated Calendar is available whenever you're ready to connect your modules.

Can I import data from other apps?

Currently, Oddapy focuses on manual data entry and organization from the start. This gives you control over what enters your secure environment. While bulk import features are not yet available, you can gradually migrate information from other apps as you set up your modules.

Is there a mobile app?

Oddapy is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works seamlessly on mobile devices through your browser. You can also install it on your home screen for quick access—it functions just like a native app. No separate downloads from app stores are needed.

How long does setup take?

Account creation takes less than 2 minutes. Getting familiar with the interface and setting up your first module (like creating a few notes or tasks) typically takes 10-15 minutes. Oddapy's intuitive design means you'll be productive quickly, with deeper features available as you explore.

Where should I start after signing up?

Start by exploring the four views: Home (see all your content), MyDay (today's tasks and calendar), Calendar (schedule your activities), and Explorer (detailed module management). Then create your first asset in any module that matches your immediate need—perhaps a Goal, a Note, or a Shopping List.

What happens during email verification?

After entering your email during signup, Oddapy sends a verification code to confirm your email address. Enter this code along with your name and password to complete registration. Email verification ensures account security and enables password recovery features if needed.

Can I use Oddapy offline?

As a Progressive Web App, Oddapy requires an internet connection for syncing your encrypted data across devices and accessing cloud storage. However, PWA technology provides faster loading and improved performance compared to traditional web apps, making the experience smooth even on moderate connections.

How do I recover my password if I forget it?

Request password recovery on the login page. Oddapy sends a temporary password valid for 5 minutes to your registered email (you can request up to three times within 24 hours). Use the temporary password to access your account, then immediately set a new password. Keep your email open during this process.

Why should I log out on shared devices?

Logging out on shared devices like public computers is critical for security. When you log out, Oddapy automatically clears cache and removes session data, preventing unauthorized access to your information. You'll need to enter credentials again to log back in, ensuring your data stays protected.
