Folders in Oddapy help you classify and organize assets meaningfully. By grouping related assets, you can easily manage and retrieve them when needed. Folders have icon to give you convenient looks as well as easy finding. There are four modules that require folder to organize:
Creating a Folder
Folders are managed in the Explorer. The Filter Bar contains the folder tree any of the modules is opened. To create a new root-level folder, tap above the folder section of the Filter Bar. To create a new child folder, tap on the on ⋮ of the parent folder and select . This will open the folder creation dialog:
Input Rules
- Name is a mandatory field and follows the rules of Name as in other objects.
- Icon is mandatory. If none selected, the default will be used.
Tap on 🗸 to create the folder. Once created, it will be available in the folder area of the filter bar.
Editing and Deleting Folder
You can edit the name and icon of the folder and delete it from the folder context menu. Taping on ⋮ will open the following context menu:
The menu item text suggest the field you can edit.
Deleting a folder permanently removes it along with all its contents, including sub-folders. This action cannot be undone, so ensure you want to proceed.
Organizing Folders
Oddapy supports Drag-and-Drop functionality for effortless folder organization. You can move a folder by dragging it onto another folder, transferring all its contents, including sub-folders, to the target folder. Conversely, a sub-folder can be moved to the root level by dragging it into an empty area. To help identify the target location, the destination area is highlighted while dragging.
Data Filtering
Loading data by folder is one of the most simple but effective filtering method. To load the contents of a folder and its sub-folder into the Content Area, simply select the folder to load its content. Selecting a folder also loads the contents of its child folders.
