Calendar

The Calendar is the most important and powerful tool in Oddapy. It helps you effectively plan, organize, and manage your day-to-day activities. With an easy-to-use interface, the Calendar allows you to schedule tasks, events, and reminders effortlessly. Oddapy Assets can be integrated in the Calendar Events called the Slots.

How the Calendar is Prepared

You will select the date from the mini calendar in the filter bar. The calendar will be prepared based on the selected date and Calendar View. Two calendar views are available:

• Day View: Shows the calendar of the selected day.
• Week View: Displays the weekly calendar view containing the selected day.

Filtering Calendar Slots

The Filter Bar offers three specific filters to refine your calendar view:

1. Slot Priority - View slots based on priority levels: High, Medium, Normal, Low, Least.
2. Repetition - Slots can repeat: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Never.
3. Status - Filter slots by status:
   • Not Started
   • In Progress
   • Follow-up
   • Completed
   • Cancelled

Understanding Slots

Slots represent events on the calendar, displayed as colored boxes with background and border styles that reflect their priority. Each slot shows the event’s name, description, status, and any attachment icons directly on its surface. You can drag a slot to change its start time or resize it vertically to adjust its duration. Tapping a slot opens the Slot Viewer for more details and actions.

• Slots appear as Slot Boxes in your calendar view.
• Each Slot Box's width spans the width of the day column; its height corresponds to the slot's duration in minutes.
• Background color of a Slot Box indicates its priority level.
• Slot Boxes show an icon representing their status.
• If the slot has attached assets, a clip icon is displayed.

Resizing and Rearranging Slots

You can resize and rearrange a slot by dragging and dropping (DnD). You can drag a slot from one place and drop it in another place in the calendar. DnD will change the starting time and day of the Slot. When you DnD a slot, the following apply:

• Move a slot by dragging it to a different time or day will change the starting time and day keeping duration same.
• Non-repeating slots: Drag freely to any date and time.
• Repeating slots: Can only be moved within the same day to a new starting time. Changing days is not allowed.

To resize (change duration), tap a slot to activate the resize mode, then drag the bottom-right corner vertically. Resizing a slot automatically updates its duration.

Creating Calendar Slots

There are two ways to create calendar slots in Oddapy:

Method 1: + Add New Button

• Tap the "+ Add New" button on the Navigation Bar.
• This opens the Slot Creation Form to enter details.

Method 2: Tap Directly on Calendar

• Tap on a specific time slot directly within the calendar.
• The Slot Creation Form will appear pre-filled with the selected time.

Viewing and Editing Slots

The Slot Viewer is a floating window that shows full slot details.

• Tap on a slot to open the Slot Viewer (a floating window displaying detailed slot information).
• Tap again to close the Slot Viewer.
• From the Slot Viewer, you can view details such as name, description, priority, status, and attached assets.
